Digital Programs

The Cottrell Digital Studio provides FREE Digital Programs to all Georgia schools and homeschool groups. Programs include Live Webcasts with historic figures, Webisodes on many topics, and Live Virtual Tours of our exhibits and historic structures. Our Digital Programs are designed for grades 2nd - 12th.

If you are a school or homeschool group outside of Georgia, we offer our Live Webcasts for a donation of your choice. Our original Webisode videos are free for all to enjoy.

If you are an adult or family group of at least 20 participants, you may schedule a Live Webcast for a donation of your choice. Our suggested donation is $50.

We use video conferencing to bring Living History directly to your classroom. Students can interact with historic characters like Thomas Jefferson, Juliette Gordon Low, Benjamin Franklin, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr. and more! We also offer lecture-style Webcasts with historians on specific topics.

Students can tour our exhibits from their classrooms through video conferencing. Each tour is customized to meet your needs with wide ranging topics.

Our Webisode series offers instant access to educational videos designed to meet Georgia Standards of Excellence. Topics include women in World War II, The Lewis & Clark Expedition, Juliette Gordon Low, The Great Depression, Frederick Douglass, the American War for Independence and much more!

Our Live Digital Programs have a simple setup. All you need is internet access, a computer with a webcam, and a monitor / projector / smartboard. We use Zoom Video Conferencing which is free and very easy to use. We will schedule a brief Webcast Test with you to ensure that everything is good to go for your Webcast or Virtual Tour.

If you must cancel or reschedule your Webcast, we require 24 hours notice. One cancellation without 24 hours notice is allowed before we require a deposit. After the second cancellation without 24 hours notice, we require a $200 deposit per semester to schedule Webcasts. If there are no further cancellations during the semester, the deposit is returned.
